Nice piece by Jon Evans on TechCrunch begging interviewers to start finding engineers who actually get things done, as opposed to memorize puzzles and algorithms. Most experienced people know this already, but it’s encouraging to see it become more and more a part of the public discussion on tech hiring.

I take issue with his “sexist” footnote — an “every ___” statement, whether positive or negative, indicates bias — but it’s an otherwise good read.
